January Book Groups at Little Shop

Book Groups
Catch-All Book Group
We have done so much reading this year that we're taking a month off to recover and rest. So enjoy your free time, and we'll get back together in February. We'll be meeting a week early in February (Monday, February 7th at 7 pm) so as to not interfere with anyone's Valentine's Day plans, and we'll be keeping with tradition by reading another heart-wrenching, tragic love story, The End of the Affair by Graham Greene. Bring your tissues. See you in February!
Page Turners
Friday, January 21st | 4:15 p.m.
Page Turners will be discussing What I Saw and How I Lied by Judy Blundell.  Terra is super-excited about this one, and describes it as "intense historical fiction."
Guys Who Read
Thursday, January 20th | 7 p.m.
Be prepared to discuss whether you loved/hated Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell at the Brick Store on the third Thursday of the New Year, January 20th.

We will drink/discuss many fine things.

There assuredly will be enlightening/disappointing mention of character development, the British Monarchy, proper spelling and punctuation, possibly cricket, and certainly all things related to Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

Extra points to those who show up with a top hat, long coat, and walking stick.

Kids and Companions
Sunday, January 23rd | 4 p.m.
Terra wanted to bring in the New Year with a fun read, so K&C will be starting 2011 with A Whole Nother Story by Dr Cuthbert Soup.  Wahoooo!
